COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A 34-year-old Edgewater man was walking near the CTA train station on Belmont Avenue in Lakeview shortly after midnight on Wednesday when he was mugged by multiple attackers, prosecutors said.

One man struck the victim while another reached into his pocket and grabbed his Ventra card and $30, prosecutors said Friday.

A surveillance camera captured a clear image of Roger Lake, 21, who was arrested in the area a short time later, prosecutors said.

Lake, of the 3100 block of North Broadway Street, was charged with robbery and ordered held on $100,000 bail when he appeared briefly in court Friday.

Others involved in the attack remained at-large Friday, officials said.
