LOGAN SQUARE — Barley’s Angels, the "international organization of women and beers," will host its first event of the summer at Longman & Eagle next week.

The Chicago chapter of Barley’s Angels returns this year to explore the world of summer beers, aka "Patio Pounders — the ones that go down easy but don't completely knock you out."

Ladies who love beer can join the Angels at Longman & Eagle, 2657 N. Kedzie Ave., as they test the summer brews on the patio from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 25. Eric Hobbs of Penrose Brewing and Glenn Allen of Revolution Brewing will also stop by for a discussion of their beers.

The inaugural summer event will be followed by a trip to Fountainhead's rooftop garden on July 14.

Tickets are $15 and are available here. For more information on the Chicago Chapter of Barley’s Angels, visit www.barleysangelschicago.com or follow them Facebook and Twitter: @BarleysAngelsCH.
