CHICAGO — A teenage jogger escaped a group of men who tried to pull her into a car in Gage Park Tuesday night, police said.

The attack happened between 8:30-8:45 p.m. Tuesday as the 15-year-old girl jogged southbound on California Avenue approaching 50th Street, police said.

As she jogged, a car pulled alongside her and a man believed to be in his 20s got out, grabbed the girl by her arm trying and tried to pull her into the car. He told the girl to "get in the car" but she was able to free herself from his grip and get away. The car then drove southbound on California, police said.

Police are searching for a Hispanic man wearing a black hoodie and dark brown shorts between the ages of 20 and 30. Officers are also searching for a dark blue, four-door vehicle containing a group of 4-5 men.
