Thai Festival Chicago to Feature Traditional Cuisine, Dance

 This year's Thai Festival Chicago will feature traditional Thai dance and cuisine, martial arts demonstrations and crafts for children, among other things.

CHICAGO — This year's Thai Festival Chicago will kick off with a drum parade and opening ceremony that highlight's Thailand's culture.

The festival features dance troupes with traditional Thai dance, martial arts demonstrations, authentic Thai food and more. There will also be crafts available for children.

Those who check in at the Thai Consulate booth will also receive a coupon for 20 percent off at 21 participating Thai restaurants.

The festival runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Friday at Federal Plaza, 230 S. Dearborn St. It is free and open to the public.
