MCKINLEY PARK — Children are invited to get an up-close and personal look at reptiles in Dave Dinaso's Traveling World of Reptiles show.
The hands-on experience aims to teach kids about the importance of reptiles in the greater ecological system. The show takes place 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Park branch of the Chicago Public Library, located at 1915 W. 35th St.
Organizers of the event say say they "do not persuade people to like reptiles but rather to respect them and explain the reasons why they should be protected."
