LOGAN SQUARE — Inspired by the littleBits synth orchestra, Comfort Station will host a family-friendly Make Music Chicago event June 21.

“+9v” will be an open-door afternoon concert of battery-powered instruments at Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave. The event will be open to anyone who has a battery-powered instrument.

Simply bring the battery powered noise maker of your choice — keyboards, circuit bent toys, etc. — and join in. Instruments with internal speakers are preferred, although there will be a PA to accommodate those without them.

An assortment of littleBits kits and modules will also be on hand to experiment and perform with.

Doors will open at noon; the first hour will be dedicated to instrument demonstrations and conversation. The concert will close at 5 p.m.
