Armed Robberies Reported in Wicker Park, Logan Square, Bucktown: Police

CHICAGO — Police are investigating recent armed robberies of small businesses in Wicker Park, Bucktown and Logan Square, according to a community alert.

The culprits hit up four retailers at the end of May and earlier this month, police said.

In the robberies, one or two men entered small businesses wearing a black sweatshirt with lettering and showed a gun, according to the alert. In two incidents, one was wearing a blue Indianapolis Colts hat. 

The most recent robbery happened 3:20 a.m. on June 8 in the 1600 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to police.

Other incident locations and times, according to the alert:

• 1800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue on May 27 at 2:20 p.m.
• 2800 block of West Belden Avenue on May 30 at 4:39 p.m.
• 1600 block of North Damen Avenue on May 30 at 9 p.m.

The suspects were described by police as black men who are 22-35 years old and 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 in height.
