Victims of Fatal Montclare Car Crash Identified

CHICAGO — The four victims of a fatal one-car crash in Montclare Thursday have been identified.

Five people were traveling in a car that crashed shortly before 3 a.m. in the 2600 block of North Narragansett Avenue, police said. The car was speeding before it hit a concrete wall, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.

Two people were found unresponsive on the scene, and were later declared dead by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. Two were taken to Our Lady of Resurrection Hospital, and were declared dead at 4:20 a.m., authorities said. 

The fifth passenger was taken to Loyola Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver of the car was identified as Ricardo Rociles, 22, of the 2500 block of North Mango Street. The other victims were Jesus Salgado, 19, of the 2100 block of North Nagle Avenue; Rafael Leal, 19, of the 5000 block of West Fletcher Street; and Jennifer Robles, 19, of the 1500 block of Northfield Court in suburban Harvard.

The Police Department's Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash.
