CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man was shot in his hand in a drive-by shooting in North Lawndale, police said.

The man told police he was walking in the 1300 block of South Keeler Avenue when a dark-color car drove up and someone inside shot at him around 8:46 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

The man took himself to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound in his left hand and released. Detectives are investigating, Gaines said.
