CHICAGO — A boy and a 19-year-old man were shot in separate incidents in Chicago during the day Wednesday.
The boy, of unknown age, was shot in his right shoulder at 2:55 p.m. while he was outside in the 7200 block of South Union Avenue, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a police spokeswoman.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.
In a separate shooting in North Lawndale, a 19-year-old man was shot in his back while he was in the 3500 block of West 13th Place at 4:24 p.m., Cooper said.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
