Ninth Annual Snubfest at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells St., 8:30 p.m.

The comedy festival showcases comedians snubbed from festivals in the last year. Tuesday's category is "Solo Category Performance" with the opportunity for a performance at Magnet Theater in New York City at stake. Performers include Jen Bosworth, Eric Oren, Erin Kay Van Pay, Caryn Ruby, Andy Bohannon Orscheln, Walt Delaney, Michael Lehrer, Paul Thomas, Stacey Smith, Miguel Lepe Jr., Stephanie Renee Kauffman, Sherra Lasley and Patrick Rowland. Tickets for the show are $20 with the minimum purchase of two beverage or food items.

Marchfourth Marching Band at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 8 p.m.

Aside from marching band costumes and a multi-member drum and bass corps, Marchfourth is far from a marching band and you can see their high energy versatile musical talents when they perform Tuesday at Lincoln Hall. The Grammy-nominated duo of Liquid Soul is also scheduled to perform. Tickets for the 21-and-over show are $14.

Chicago Songwriters Alliance at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted Ave., 8 p.m.

Harmonic Dunn Presents Chicago Songwriters Alliance No. 15 featuring performances by: Donnie Biggins, Mike Cummings, Sad Brad Smith, Meghan Saletta, John Cicora, Paul Gulyas (of the Shams Band), Marycate Hines, Kate Adams and Anna Soltys. There is no charge for the 21-and-over show and doors open at 8 p.m. After the show is an '80s and '90s Dance party beginning at 10 p.m. with half-off all drinks.
