Chicago State University Greeks To Hold Peace March on the South Side

PULLMAN — A peace march to raise awareness of violence in the city is scheduled for Saturday at Chicago State University.

The march is sponsored by the National Panhellenic Council at Chicago State University and the National Panhellenic Council of Chicago.

Open to the public, the march is scheduled to run from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Cordell Reed Student Union at Chicago State University, 9501 S. King Drive. There is a $10 registration fee, which would be used by the NPHC of Chicago to create resources and alternatives for youths, according to organizer Christopher Cook.

The members of the NPHC at Chicago State are Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc; Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc; Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc; Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc; Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc; Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc; and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc.
