Things to Do in Lincoln Park and Old Town This Weekend

Friday

Vance "Guitar" Kelly at Chicago B.L.U.E.S. Bar, 2519 N. Halsted Ave., 9:30 p.m.

American Blues singer and guitarist Vance "Guitar" Kelly performs with the Backstreet Blues Band. Tickets for the show are $5. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Lincoln Park Greek Fest at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave., 5-11 p.m.

Get ready for a weekend full of food, fun and "Opa!" as all the tastes, sounds, smells and traditions of Greece are recreated in the neighborhood.The fest will feature musical performances from No Love for Linus, the Gold Rush, Republic Steel, Souvenir City and Socrates on Friday. There is no cost to enter the fest but donations will be accepted at the door.

Adults Night Out at Lincoln Park Zoo, 2001 N. Clark St., 6:30-10 p.m.

The zoo is offering a unique experience for all the adventurous adults who've dreamt of having the place all to themselves. Anyone 18 or older is invited to explore the zoo after-hours, participate in an animal encounter and saunter through the zoo's luscious gardens. Cocktails and food will be available throughout the night. Tickets are $10 online, $8 for members. Tickets will also be available at the door for $15, $12 for members.

Saturday

Lincoln Park Greek Fest at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave., Noon-11 p.m.

Get ready for a weekend full of food, fun and "Opa!" as all the tastes, sounds, smells and traditions of Greece are recreated in the neighborhood. Perifania Dance Troupe will perform traditional Greek dances at 6:45 and 8:30 p.m. There is no cost to enter the fest but donations will be accepted at the door.

Lincoln Park Farmers' Market at Lincoln Park High School, 2001 N. Orchard St., 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Get your organic needs at the local farmers' market in the high school parking lot every Saturday until Oct. 25.

Plants for Pollinators Sale at Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N. Cannon Drive, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Attract butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators to your yard with 13 species of specially selected native plants that can be easily grown in your backyard, patio or container garden. The event is free.
