PILSEN — Rudy Lozano Library will host a free screening of the documentary "The Future of Food," a film that examines safety concerns behind unlabeled, untested genetically modified foods.

The film, from Deborah Koons Garcia, debuted in 2004 and has been a key tool in both the American and international anti-GMO grassroots activist movements, according to the film's website.

This screening is part of the nonprofit Food and Water Watch's campaign to mandate GMO labeling in Illinois. Following the film, there will be a short question and answer session.

The Future of Food will screen at Rudy Lozano Library, 1805 S. Loomis St., from 2-4 p.m. Saturday.
