CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man was shot and killed in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood Sunday evening, police said.
Erik Kall, 27, of the 5100 block of South Moody was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Hospital at 10:21 p.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Around 10 p.m. Sunday, Kall was shot multiple times while standing in the 6200 block of South Francisco Avenue. He was taken to the hospital where he later died, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
Police said Kall was a documented gang member.
No one is in custody and police are investigating, Gaines said.
