CHICAGO — A man was arrested in a fatal shooting in a Gage Park warehouse of a longtime River North frame shop owner.

Tyneil Washington, 29, was arrested after police in Champaign connected Washington with a sketch of the alleged shooter of 66-year-old Herbert Goode.

Goode, the longtime owner of Silver Cloud Galleries in River North, was shot and killed March 2 at the Gage Park location of his business in the 2300 block of West 57th Street.

Goode was shot once in the neck about 2:30 p.m. in an armed robbery, police said.

Following the shooting, Chicago Police and the U.S. Marshal's fugitive apprehension unit issued a sketch of the alleged shooter throughout the Midwest.

Police in Champaign contacted Chicago Police after seeing the sketch, knowing that Washington was in the area.
