CHICAGO — Police are looking for the family of a toddler found alone on the curb of an Englewood street Friday morning.

The boy, believed to be 20 to 24 months old, was found at 6508 S. Stewart Ave. about 10 a.m. after he was dropped off by a man driving some sort of beige car, according to police.

As a precaution, police took the child to St. Bernard Hospital, where he is in good condition, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman. She said police were flagged down by a passerby who had seen the boy.

The African-American boy is 3 feet tall, weighs 24 pounds, and has brown eyes, brown hair and a birthmark near his right eye.

Anyone with information should call police at 312-747-8276.
