CHICAGO — A Park Manor man was fatally shot in the city's Roseland neighborhood Thursday night.

The 20-year-old, identified as Brian McKinney, was shot about 8:45 p.m., authorities said.

McKinney was in the 10800 block of South Indiana Avenue when he was approached by multiple people who then opened fire on him, police said.

McKinney, of the 7300 block of South Perry Avenue, was shot in his hip and shoulder and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

The 20-year-old was pronounced dead there at 9:47 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one was in custody in connection with McKinney's death as of Friday morning, police said.
