Woman Pulled from Montrose Harbor Identified

CHICAGO — A woman pulled from Montrose Harbor Saturday has died.

Fire department crews rescued the woman from Lake Michigan, near the 500 block of West Montrose Avenue, around 5:40 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

Caroline Heider, 42, of the 6700 block of North Harding Avenue in northwest suburban Lincolnwood, was rushed to Weiss Memorial Hospital in critical condition. She was pronounced dead there at 6:52 p.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

An autopsy was slated for Sunday.
