CHICAGO — A 22-year-old woman was shot during a robbery in Albany Park Thursday night.
The woman told police she was in the 4700 block of North Bernard Avenue when a man approached and attempted to rob her around 6:58 p.m. Thursday, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
When the woman refused to cooperate, the man pulled out a gun and shot her in her chest. She was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, Estrada said.
No one is in custody for the shooting and detectives are investigating the shooting, Estrada said.
