Urban History Seminar at Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., 5:30 p.m.

Thursday's seminar is "Creative Federalism: Using Model Cities to Nationalize the Urban Crisis" featuring Bell Clement of the George Washington University. Reception is at 5:45 p.m., with dinner at 6:15 p.m. and the seminar at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and include dinner, the seminar and parking. Advance reservations required.
