CHICAGO — At least two men were shot in daytime incidents on the Northwest and South sides Wednesday.

In Back of the Yards, a 21-year-old man was shot in his neck about 6:15 p.m. while in the 4300 block of South Honore Street, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

The man is a documented gang member and the shooting may be gang-related, police said.

Earlier, a 24-year-old man suffered a graze wound in a daytime shooting in Portage Park Wednesday, police said.

The incident occurred in the 3300 block of North Lamon Avenue about 2:51 p.m., according to Officer Stacey Cooper, a police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his side and was uncooperative with authorities.

He is in good condition after refusing medical attention.

The incident may be gang-related, Cooper said.
