CHICAGO — A 55-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Chatham Saturday night.
The victim was stabbed in his chest about 9:45 p.m. during an altercation with another man in the 7900 block of South Ingleside Avenue, police said.
Rickey Hayes, 55, whose home address was unknown, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 10:49 p.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Detectives classified the case as a death investigation.
Few details were available early Sunday.
