CHICAGO — A man was killed in a Brainerd shooting Sunday morning.
Police said the man, 41, was shot about 11:35 a.m. in the 9200 block of South Emerald Avenue.
He shot multiple times, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 12:35 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
The man was identified as William Bailey, of the 7300 block of South Union Avenue.
Area South detectives are investigating, and no one is in custody, police said.
