CHICAGO — A West Garfield Park woman faces charges after police said she stabbed her boyfriend to death during an argument about money.

Crystal Caffey, 27, of the 4000 block of West Maypole Avenue, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities said Caffey stabbed her boyfriend, 29-year-old Marvin Turner, on the street where they both live about 2:30 a.m. Monday. The pair had been arguing about money.

Turner was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 3:45 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Caffey was expected to appear in bond court Wednesday.

Police offered no further details.
