Bridgeport Burglaries Lead to Community Alert from Police

BRIDGEPORT — Police are investigating a series of apartment burglaries that might be connected.

Police say the thieves forced open the doors or windows to apartments and stole various items. The break-ins took place:

  • April 11 in the 2700 Block of South Union Avenue
  • April 12 in the 2800 Block of South Union Avenue
  • April 18 in the 2700 Block of South Union Avenue
  • Wednesday in the 2800 Block of South Emerald Avenue

In the wake of these burglaries and others in the Bridgeport area, police are reminding residents to keep their properties well lit, keep doors and windows locked and to look out for suspicious activity.
