CHICAGO — Three men have been charged after police said they broke into a Humboldt Park home and shot a resident.
The attack happened about 10:20 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of North Hamlin Avenue.
Police said the trio broke into a first-floor apartment, where one of the men — later identified as Michael Raggs — shot a 24-year-old resident in his forearm.
The victim and several witnesses identified Raggs and his cohorts, police said.
Raggs, 33, of the 3800 block of South Wilcox Street, was charged with home invasion with a firearm, home invasion causing injury and aggravated battery by discharging a firearm.
His accomplices — Ambrose Walker, 22, of the 4800 block of West Crystal Street, and Sidney Gullens, 24, of the 4600 block of South La Crosse Avenue — were charged similarly. Both men were also wanted on warrants, police said.
All three men were slated to appear in bond court Sunday.
