Police Warn Northwest Side Residents of Burglary Spree

CHICAGO — Police have issued a community alert following a string of burglaries on the Northwest Side.

In each incident, the burglars enter people's homes through rear or side doors when the residents aren't there.

Recent burglaries have taken place:

• in the 4100 block of West Glenlake Avenue between 1:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. on April 14.

• in the 6200 block of North Cicero Avenue between 5 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on April 14.

• in the 6000 block of North Kimball Avenue between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on April 18-19.

• in the 6100 block of North St. Louis Avenue between 1:20 and 1:45 p.m. on April 20.

Police ask residents to take note of strangers in the area, make sure windows and doors are locked, and warn their neighbors about the burglaries.
