CHICAGO — A person was fatally struck by a semi-truck Thursday morning on the near North Side.
Around 6:25 a.m., police arrived at the intersection of Division and Noble and found a person who had been struck and killed under the viaduct of the Kennedy Expressway, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.
Police did not know if the victim was a man or woman.
Illinois State Police shut down the northbound and southbound Kennedy ramps at Division Street after the accident, Sedevic said.
