By Alex Parker | April 19, 2014 12:07pm | Updated on April 19, 2014 7:17pm

CHICAGO — Two teens are dead after an apparent double homicide on the South Side, police said.

Police responded to an apartment in the 8200 block of South Houston Avenue in South Chicago at 10:38 a.m. and found the two teens shot to death, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

He said it was unclear when they had been killed.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified one victim as Jordan Means, 16, of the 8100 block of South Coles Avenue, but declined to release the identity of the second victim, an 18-year-old who lived in a home on the block where the slayings took place.

They were pronounced dead on the scene at 10:50, the Medical Examiner's Office said.

Area South detectives are investigating the killings, and no one is in custody.

Three other people were killed Friday night and Saturday, and nine people were injured by gunfire.
