CHICAGO — Two children who were allegedly abducted by their mother in West Beverly were found safe in Wisconsin Thursday, police said.

The boys, ages 9 and 11, were found "unharmed" in Eastern Wisconson with their mother, Jamie Duignan, according to police.

In a statement, police said they are being detained by local law enforcement and "family and investigators are enroute to their location to continue the investigation and reunite the children with their father."

Before being found Thursday, the boys were last seen near 107th Street and Campbell Avenue Wednesday when their mother, Jamie Duignan, picked them up in her minivan, police said.

Both Jamie Duignan and the children's father are Chicago police officers, WGN reported.

According to several mom and police blogs, Jamie Duignan worked as a CPD detective. She's volunteered with the department's peer support program, which offers counseling to fellow officers.

Police said it is unknown whether charges will be brought against Jamie Duignan. Further details were not immediately available.
