Two Firefighters Among Injured in West Pullman House Fire: Reports

CHICAGO — Two firefighters were among those injured in a Tuesday evening house fire in West Pullman, according to reports.

The Tribune reported among the eight injured in the fire shortly after 6 p.m. in the 11600 block of South Michigan Avenue, there was also a police officer.

The Sun-Times reported six people were injured, including a police officer and two firefighters. All six of those people suffered from smoke inhalation.

One of the civilians injured was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, according to the Tribune.

None of the injuries to the firefighters or the police officer are believed to be life-threatening, reports said.
