CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy was charged with murder after fatally shooting a man in Gage Park Sunday morning, police said.

The teen was involved in an argument with a 20-year-old man in the 3000 block of West 53rd Street around 1 a.m. Sunday police said. The argument turned violent and the teen went to his home, grabbed a gun and then shot the man multiple times, police said.

Joshua Martinez, 20, of the 4900 block of South Karlov Avenue in Archer Heights, was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:26 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The teen was arrested on the same block Sunday and charged with first-degree murder. He is expected to appear in bond court Monday.

Police would not release the teen's name.
