CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man who was driving a dark gray SUV when he struck a man in a Lincoln Square bank parking lot Thursday afternoon and then drove off.

Around 3 p.m. Thursday, someone driving an "older model Nissan Rogue SUV" backed into a 63-year-old man, causing serious injuries, in the MB Financial bank parking lot in the 4800 block of North Western Avenue, police said.

The SUV driver then drove out of the parking lot and headed west on Gunnison Avenue, according to police reports.

Officers issued a community alert asking for help tracking down the hit-and-run driver

The SUV the man was driving has a broken rear license plate light cover and a pre-existing dent on the driver's side door. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Major Accident Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521.
