CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was shot in his face while sitting in his car in the 9000 block of South Union Avenue Thursday night, police said.

Around 10:20 p.m. Thursday, the man was in his car when another man pulled up alongside him and fired into the car, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman

The man who was shot in the face fled the scene and flagged down police in the 1200 block of West 95th Street, Gaines said. He was taken to Christ Hospital in stable condition and no one is in custody, Gaines said.

Early Friday, a 25-year-old woman was shot in Rogers Park, and on Thursday afternoon, five people were shot including a teenager shot in North Lawndale.
