CHICAGO — A man was extradited from a Minnesota prison and charged in an August 2010 shooting that left a man dead in West Pullman.

Jason Stephens, 27, was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder, police said.

Stephens is an inmate at the Stillwater correctional facility in Bayport, Minn., where he is incarcerated on an unrelated matter.

Police said Stephens was identified as the shooter in an Aug. 1, 2010, homicide in the 12400 block of South Eggleston Avenue.

Samuel Coleman, 20, was found dead inside his home with a gunshot wound in his neck about 12:30 p.m., according to media reports and police.

Stephens was extradited to Chicago and is slated to appear in bond court Wednesday.
