Northwest Indiana Man Charged in Auburn Gresham Shooting

CHICAGO — A Hammond, Ind., man was charged in a shooting that wounded two men in Auburn Gresham earlier this month.

Jeremiah Jones, 18, of the 400 block of South Vine Street in Hammond, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The arrest was in connection with a March 21 shooting in the 7500 block of South Racine Street at 11:50 a.m., according to a police statement. A 21-year-old man was shot in his head and hands while a 31-year-old man was shot in his side.
