CHICAGO — Around Lincoln Park or Old Town and need something to do Monday night? Take in a comedy show or check out some music.

Great American Comedy Festival at Zanies Comedy Club, 1548 N. Wells St., at 8:30 p.m.

Michael Issac hosts the semifinal round of the city's Great American Comedy Festival tournament, with the winner heading to the national festival in Nebraska in June. Entry is $10 with a two-item minimum. The city finals will be held next Monday.

"The Best of The Second City" at The Second City, 1616 N. Wells St., 8 p.m.

A regular event on Monday nights and Saturday afternoons, this show is as reliable as it gets if you are looking for laughs from a series of sketches, songs and improv.

Tickets cost $17 and can be bought from The Second City website.

Music Mondays

At 10 p.m., the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted St., will feature Monday's Round Table Jam, a free event featuring funky sounds played every week. Head to Delilah's, 2771 N. Lincoln Ave., for Punk Rock Monday with DJ Tim. Beer's available for $1, Jim Beam for $2 and the pool is free.
