CHICAGO — Three teens were hospitalized after a drive-by shooting Friday night on the Near West Side, authorities said.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of South Western Avenue at 7:03 p.m. when someone shot at a group on the sidewalk from a silver-colored car that may have been a Pontiac, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

Two 19-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy were wounded and sent to Stroger Hospital where they were listed in stable condition. One man was shot in his left leg and another in his right foot. The boy was also shot in his right foot.

No one is in custody and the incident may have been gang-related, Estrada said.
