CHICAGO — Two people were wounded in shootings early Wednesday.

The most recent incident happened about 3:55 a.m. in Englewood, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman. A 33-year-old man was shot in his buttocks in the 300 block of West 59th Street and taken in good condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

No further information was immediately available.

Just after 1 a.m., a 21-year-old man was grazed in his hand in the Hermosa neighborhood, Gaines said.

The man claims he looked out his window and saw two men burglarizing his garage in the 2800 block of North Kostner Avenue. When the men realized they were being watched, one of them opened fire, the man told police.

The man was listed in good condition at Norwegian American Hospital, Gaines said. Police are still investigating the burglary claim.

No one was in custody for either shooting.
