CHICAGO — Three people were shot in a car on the South Side Tuesday evening, police said.

The incident occurred at 5:02 p.m. in the 7600 block of South Stony Island Avenue, on the border of South Shore and Greater Grand Crossing, when the trio was approached by someone with a gun, police said.

Two men, ages 26 and 27, and a 30-year-old woman ended up at Jackson Park Hospital, where their conditions are unknown, police said.

Only one of them was transported there by an ambulance, according to the fire department.

The incident may be gang-related, police said.
