SOUTH SHORE — A south suburban man was killed Monday night in a shooting in the city's South Shore neighborhood.
Chad Collins, 36, was fatally shot about 7 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of East 75th Street, authorities said.
Collins, of south suburban Harvey, was shot repeatedly in his body and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead about 8 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody early Tuesday morning in connection with Collins' death, but authorities said they believe the shooting is gang-related.
A convenience store on the block was taped off as police investigated the scene.
