CHICAGO — Things to do in Lincoln Park and Old Town Monday include a special wine tasting, a comedy showcase and a chance to hone your artistic skills.

Honing Your Palate, Part 1: The Wines of Alsace, France at Webster's Wine Bar, 1480 W. Webster Ave., 7 p.m.

This is the first of a three-part series of wine tastings that will combine wines from a specific region of the world with an array of flavors and aromas. In this edition, about 15 white wines from Northeastern France (along with some reds) will be matched up against three categories of taste: tea, citrus and spice.

Tickets are $30 and available at Ticketleap.com.

Chicago Botanical Artists Group at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N. Cannon Drive, 1 p.m.

The group, which is open to artists of all skill levels, hosts free sessions in which creators can sketch indoor specimens when it's cold outside. Artists are welcome to bring something to draw or choose what to draw when they arrive.

To register, email adultprograms@naturemuseum.org or call 773-755-5128.

Great American Comedy Festival Showcase at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells St., at 8:30 p.m.

Michael Isaac hosts this festival of young comedians competing for a chance to appear in a festival taking place in June in Norfolk, Neb. Tickets are $10, plus two minimum orders of food or drinks.
