EDGEWATER — Mariano's plans to interview prospective baggers, cashiers and many more employees Saturday for its new Edgewater store set to open next month.

Prospective employees are invited to attend the job fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at The Admiral at the Lake, 929 W. Foster Ave.

Attendees will meet one on one with a recruiter on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants should bring a copy of their resume and photo ID and dress professionally.

Mariano’s is hiring for a host of positions: bagging, bakery, catering, cashiers, coffee bar, deli, department managers, floral, food demo, hot foods/line cook, meat and seafood, overnight stocking, produce/salad bar, store management, sushi, and wine and spirits.

Ald. Harry Osterman (48th) will also be in attendance, according to his office.

"With 29 Mariano's locations spread throughout the Chicago metropolitan area at the end of 2014, Mariano's will have created over 10,000 jobs in the Chicagoland market in four short years," Jess Terry, the chief human resources officer of Mariano's parent company, Roundy's, said in a statement.
