Englewood Fire Displaces Two Kids, Six Adults

CHICAGO — An Englewood fire forced eight people to leave their homes in frigid weather early Monday morning.

The blaze started in a two-story building in the 1200 block of West 71st Street about 2:30 a.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department and Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

Two children and six adults were displaced by the fire, but there were no injuries, Sullivan said.

The fire was out by about 3 a.m., according to the Fire Department.
