CHICAGO — A man who robbed a Streeterville bank Tuesday morning is believed to be the same man who robbed a River North bank last week, according to the FBI.

A Fifth Third Bank at 42 E. Ontario St. was robbed at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday by a man who passed a note to a bank teller demanding money, according to a Special Agent Joan Hyde, a FBI spokeswoman.

No weapon was shown.

The man was wearing a jacket and shoes similar to those worn by the robber in a Feb. 3 robbery of North Community Bank, 800 N. State St. at 12:50 p.m. that afternoon.

The suspect in that robbery was described as a black man with a dark complexion who was 5-foot-1 to 5-foot-3, weighing 125 to 135 pounds.

He also had glasses and a black messenger bag.
