CHICAGO — Cops are warning of armed robberies in Avondale after at least two pizza delivery drivers were robbed during their runs.
Most of the attacks occurred between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., police said. During each incident, two or three armed men robbed pizza delivery drivers who were walking to or from their delivery destinations.
Police did not specify what type of weapons were used.
The most recent attacks occurred:
• Jan. 31 in the 2800 block of West Wellington Avenue about 1:45 a.m.
• Sunday in the 2900 block of North Fairfield Avenue about 8:10 p.m.
Police said two of the suspects are Hispanic men in their 20s, approximately 5-foot-4 to 6-foot-3. The third suspect is a black man in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-5 to 6-feet tall.
All of the men wore hooded sweatshirts and black skullcaps.
