CHICAGO — Police are searching for a man in Grand Crossing after he attempted to lure a 13-year-old girl.
Around 8:20 a.m. Friday, the man approached the girl in the 7000 block of South Indiana Ave. on her way to school, police said. The man yelled "come here" twice as he walked quickly towards the girl, who was able to escape by running to school and telling authorities about the incident.
The man was described as black, in his 20s with braids or dreadlocks. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He was wearing a black and white jacket with white sleeves and a white hood. He also wore blue jeans and grey high top shoes, police said.
