CHICAGO — A man was shot when a bullet went through the window of a Austin apartment Wednesday morning, police said.
The 19-year-old was lying on a couch in a first-floor apartment in the 1200 block of North Lamon Avenue when about seven shots rang out from outside about 4:20 a.m., said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.
One of the bullets came through the window and hit him in the ankle, Sedevic said.
He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in good condition.
No one was in custody for the shooting.
