CHICAGO — Two people were shot Thursday afternoon in North Lawndale, police said.

Around 1 p.m., two men were shot in the 2300 block of South Kostner Avenue and sustained nonlife-threatening injuries, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the face and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition. The other man, 18, was shot in the arm and taken to the same hospital in good condition, said Officer Daniel O'Brien, a police spokesman.
